road trip

We took a drive up the North Shore yesterday to show Jason's parents some of the sites (while Jason had jury duty...yuck). So I thought it would be relaxing to drive along the coast and make our way around to the Dole Plantation. Well a nice leasurely drive turned into about 2 hours because of very slow drivers and construction. We stopped at the historic Haleiwa Town for lunch and had about half an hour to spend at Dole Plantation before we needed to head home for naps.

So we didn't have time to take the train ride around the pineapple fields (both the boys were disappointed...at least we got to see the train or as Jude says "choo-choo"). But we still had fun feeding the Koi and eating pineapple ice cream.
