happy halloween

We had a great time trick-or-treating with our friends.

Highlights from Halloween:

  • the boys with their musctaches.

  • Ansley so excited to wear her Fancy Nancy outfit (with sparkly shoes and a crown) because it had pink in it.

  • Jude and Ansley getting over their shyness really quickly...it's amazing what candy can do.

  • Ansley loosing her balance while running to the next house (her body out ran her legs) and ended up face-diving into their grass, candy flying everywhere.

  • putting our pumpkin in the fridge so that it would last longer than a day.

  • Lainey screaming all the way home because she was tired and it was dark...not a good combo for her.

  • getting home in the pouring rain with a crowd of people taking cover under our carport.

mario kart

Jason brought home an old Nintendo game cube a few weeks ago and I am sad to say we are no longer a video game free home. The boys quickly caught on and now they are really into Mario Kart (Jason and I stay up after the kids are in bed and play Lego Star Wars...sigh). So when I asked them what they wanted to be for Halloween they quickly said Mario and Luigi. Thankfully we found some already made costumes (since I don't have the free time yet to sew or make anything) and everyday they mention how they can't wait for Halloween. So of course to go along with their costumes they had to make a Mario Kart to go with it.

our little Lainey-bug

We have a mover now. She can only get in crawl position but she can still belly flop to where she needs to go. She loves her mobility.50% of my pictures of Lainey these days look like this....I think it is due to some teeth that are trying to make their way through. So I'm assuming her tongue is rubbing those sore gums. Our smiley girl.

And this one was just too stinkin' cute.

Jude will eat it...

This kid cracks me up. He is constantly coming in from the garden or neighbors house and eating any fruit or vegetable...even sometimes herbs (basil and mint seem to be his favorites)...that he can find. This day our neighbor brought over a coconut from her tree. So after they drank the coconut water out of it they then cracked it open and ate the coconut flesh. I don't know if you have ever had raw coconut or the water for that matter...I'm not a big fan. But Jude gobbles it up. I think we have a future gardener here.

5 months old

It's hard to believe Lainey is almost half a year old. So many changes these past couple of weeks. This is when it's starting to get fun. Here is what she is up to:

as you can see chewing on her feet has become great entertainment,

rolling all over the floor,

getting in crawl position but can only manage to belly flop right now,

low army crawl to get to the toys she wants to get to,

and jumping jacks just like her sister used to do.

If you want to see her in action you can watch the video below. Just so you know it's quite long but I figured the grandma's and aunties don't mind.
