we survived
For all of those friends in Hawaii, I just wanted to let you know we made it. The plane ride actually went really well (thanks for your prayers) but the adjusting to the 5 hour time change has been horrible. But 4 days later the kids are going to bed around 8:30 and we are feeling a bit more adjusted....all in time for Jason to get here and miss all of the fun we've been having around 2 in the morning when no one seems to be tired.

I don't know if you'll remember me from Covenant, but I found your blog through the Covenant grapevine.
I read a few posts about WIC and the book Peacemaking Women, and I just wanted to "second" what a blessing both are.
I'm also on the WIC committee at our church -- and have been so blessed by the community of women, and find the time and investment well worth it. That's so cool that Tara Barthel spoke at your retreat.
We have a women's Sunday school right now, and we're studying Peacemaking Women . . . and it has been fantastic. I have a hard time reading consistently with a busy schedule, but this book has been so refreshing and challenging and excellent for women to discuss together.
Well, may God bless you and your family . . . and your church and ministries. And, enjoy your time on the "mainland"!
